N-grams Near Links
Odd name - useful tool. Imagine for a moment you are a potential customer about to click a link to your site. The words and phrases around that link are going to give you a feel for what that site is all about. When you click, you land on the page. If the page doesn't deliver to expectation, do you stay or bounce?
You can use N-grams Near Links to find the phrases used in the context of links to your site. This gives you a change to ensure that visitor expectation is delivered onsite. You can also produce reports for competitor sites (or group of sites) to give you a broader competitive insight.
How it works
Enter the page or site you want to analyse
N-grams Near Links is an AI powered report that uses Link Context data to identify key terms around your links. To begin, enter a search into the 'Enter domain, URL or Keyword' box. A site level report is often the best to get started. This tool works best on sites with established backlinks. However, you can generate reports on a small selection of sites if you are looking for content ideas. A cheeky trick for advanced users – you can enter a keyword and find sites which may be associated with it.
Once you’ve selected your site, or sites, click the "Extract N-grams" button. You can then use other tools onsite while your report generates. It should take around two to five minutes for the magic to work. Once generated, the first report you see focuses on the n-grams (phrases) discovered. View Source and Target Links
View the backlink sources that make up the n-gram, along with Trust Flow and Citation Flow. Click the relevant "Context Count" column and you’ll see a pop up of the page linked to, and all the links to it where the n-gram is mentioned nearby.
Export Data
You can export the data in the report at different levels. Check out the options by clicking Export Data in the main report. Other exports in the tool may be context sensitive.
